Why NAPAC exists...

Unlike corporate media outlets owned by out-of-state broadcasting companies, KBHQ 100.7 FM is entirely locally owned and operated right here in Harrison. Because we are a noncommercial station, we operate under a different philosophy. While we follow the exact same FCC laws as commercial radio, our advertising rules mean we do not sell commercial airtime. This gives us the freedom to offer much broader, richer programming that directly serves the Ozarks.

Through our "North Arkansas Local Voice Initiative", we are dedicated to showcasing regional independent talent across all genres - whether it's Country, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Gospel, or Christian music. On "Ozarks Q-ROCK", we pair this music-intensive format with essential local news, bringing you a unique sound that spans from 1960s Classic Rock to today's Top-40 in Rock and Metal.

Being a community station also means we look out for our neighbors. NAPAC uses the power of KBHQ-FM to develop vital fundraisers and awareness campaigns for smaller local nonprofits whose huge contributions might otherwise go unnoticed. Most importantly, this station gives you a platform to shape hometown conversations, share your opinions, ask important questions, and make a real impact on local life.
